Key Responsibilities
Dispatching & Scheduling
- Coordinate daily schedules for service crews, drivers, and field personnel.
- Assign jobs based on workload, customer needs, and equipment/crew availability.
- Monitor job progress throughout the day and adjust schedules as needed.
- Ensure timely communication of route changes, delays, and updates to field staff.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for inbound service requests and scheduling inquiries.
- Provide accurate information to customers regarding timelines, service details, and follow-up steps.
- Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor while handling customer concerns or changes.
- Collaborate with operations, shop personnel, and management to ensure readiness of equipment and crews before dispatch.
- Track and document equipment movement, job completion times, and service requirements.
- Assist with work order generation, service tickets, and job documentation.
- Maintain accurate logs of dispatched jobs, completed work, and field activity.
- Update schedules, customer information, and work orders in company software systems.
- Provide regular reporting to leadership on dispatch efficiency, customer updates, and operational challenges.
- Collaborate with leadership, drivers, and field teams to ensure smooth daily operations and ensure equipment and crew readiness.
- Track and document equipment movement, job completion times, and service requirements.
- Assist with work order generation, service tickets, and job documentation.
- Understand sequencing and resource needs for dirt work jobs; dirt-work experience required to dispatch crews effectively.
Essential Skills
- Several years of experience in the oil field.
- Experience as a dispatcher, scheduler, coordinator, or similar operations-support role (1–3 years preferred).
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey clear instructions to both customers and field teams.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-moving environment.
- Basic computer proficiency, including scheduling software, spreadsheets, and digital work-order systems.
- Customer-service mindset with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
- Knowledge of industrial, construction, transportation, or oilfield service operations.
- Experience working with dispatching tools, GPS tracking systems, or fleet management programs.
- Familiarity with equipment scheduling, service coordination, or field operations workflows.
